Nor-Cal 400 Hydro "Rent-a-Race-Ride" Program

Now you can have the thrill of racing a real hydroplane through the Nor-Cal 400 "Rent-a-Race-Ride" program sponsored by Northern California Outboard Association and East Bay Boat Club. For a nominal fee, YOU can experience racing in one of these exciting 400cc small hydroplanes. Riding on your knees, inches above the water at speeds approaching 55 mph!!! Other classes on the same course and race day range from 40 mph youth classes to modified alcohol classes at speeds over 100 mph.

Fee includes: Single event membership in the Americian Power Boat Association and insurance. You will be assigned a boat, motor and driving safety gear. Driving instructions and training will be provided by veteran drivers. You will receive one practice session and two heats of competitive racing. Action photos available!
